How we count windows.

Understanding how we count windows can help you get a more accurate quote for our services. For us, a single window can mean a variety of types, including single or double-hung windows, plate windows, or even windows with suspended or false grids. If your window has removable grids or is a transom, glider, or sliding glass window, that’s counted as one window, too.

If you have two single or double-hung windows side by side or a sliding glass door, we consider that as two windows. Single windows combined with a transom window above it and windows with fixed or non-removable grids also count as two windows.

When it comes to more complex configurations, such as storm windows or a set of three double-hung windows, we categorize those as three windows for counting and quoting. We also accommodate specialty windows like garden windows and skylights.

We aim to make the estimation process as transparent and straightforward as possible. Knowing how we count can give you a clearer picture of your window washing needs and the costs involved, so you’re never caught off guard.

Cleaning your windows two to four times a year will extend the lifespan of your windows and prevent dust and dirt from etching into your glass. It also cleans away mold, bird droppings, tree sap and other debris from your windows. The frequency can depend on factors such as your setting (wooded, seaside, cities) and your lifestyle (children, pets, cooking), which can all demand more frequent cleaning.

But who wants to clean their windows that often? At Orchid Klean, we know how valuable your time is. Streak-free quality window cleaning is often difficult, time-consuming, and dangerous to do. Your local Window Genie service professionals are ready to do the scrubbing and cleaning for you, keeping you safely on the ground and doing the things you would rather be doing.
